A painting inspired by a warm Summer evening spent by Killarney Beach, near Port Fairy. In this piece I wanted to capture the softness of a sky which has already seen the sun set, and the allure of a sandy track lined with bunny tails and littered with shells leading down to the sea.

I’m currently feeling very drawn to the coastal paths which lead us to the beach & that feeling of anticipation for the first glimpse of the ocean and I tried to capture that within this piece.

This painting, along with Moonrise Behind the Dunes, Killarney, is currently on display at Jude the Cafe in Warrnambool if you’re local to the area and wish to see it in person.

This is the original painting and the only one of it’s kind.
