Golden Light, Point Addis
A small study of the evening sun filtering through the trees at Point Addis along the Great Ocean Road.
On this particular evening I was racing the sun, hoping to catch it set over the ocean, and as I ran through the trees—the sun dropping rapidly—I was treated to this view of the last rays shining through the trees. The golden light washed over the leaves and seemed to make the trees glow.
In this piece I aimed to paint loosely, focusing less on details + more on capturing the feeling of a place.
This is the original painting and the only one of its kind.
