Sunrise Surf, Jan Juc
A small painting inspired by a late Summer sunrise over Jan Juc, watching the surfers catch their first waves of the day. This particular spot along the coast is one of my absolute favourites for watching the sunrise and in this piece I wanted to capture the beautiful effects of the morning sun on this part of the coastline. I just love the way the sun shines directly onto the cliffs and turns them such a vivid shade of orange, and how it brings out all of the colours and textures of the plants growing along the cliffs. A small moment of beauty before the day begins.
This is the original painting and the only one of its kind.
