A painting inspired by a Winter sunset walk along Thirteenth Beach, Barwon Heads, underneath a rising full moon.

As I walked along the shoreline I noticed the glimmer of the moon reflecting in the wet sand and immediately knew that I had to paint it…

It was one of those evenings where I felt as if I was already inside of a painting and went home feeling so incredibly inspired. The tiny detail of the moon reflection sparked the entire piece, and so I hope this painting can serve as a reminder to seek out the small (and often unexpected) beautiful moments in the everyday.

This is the original painting and the only one of its kind.
